Henderson Products, a Douglas Dynamics brand and leading manufacturer of snow and ice control equipment for municipalities across North America, is celebrating 80 years of manufacturing excellence and dependable solutions that help keep people safe and communities thriving.
Founded in Iowa in 1946, Henderson has grown from its beginnings as a manufacturer of agricultural attachments and spreading equipment into a leading provider of snow and ice control solutions. Along the way, generations of employees have helped build Henderson’s longstanding reputation as “The Dependable Ones.”
Henderson’s 80th anniversary celebrations continued recently at its headquarters in Manchester. Team members and their families came together at Henderson’s main manufacturing facility and Upfit and Service Center to recognize the milestone and celebrate the people who have helped shape Henderson over the past eight decades.
Henderson’s roots in Iowa run deep. Founder Ollie Henderson established Henderson Manufacturing in Cedar Rapids in 1946, and the company moved to Manchester in 1958. Henderson continues to manufacture snow and ice control equipment in Manchester today, serving municipalities across North America.
Making the anniversary celebration especially meaningful, members of the Henderson family joined the festivities, creating a connection between the company’s beginnings and the team carrying that legacy forward today. Team members also had the opportunity to bring their families into the facilities and give them a firsthand look at how Henderson equipment is manufactured, assembled and upfitted.
As Henderson celebrates its history in Manchester, the company is also investing in its future. A new logistics facility currently under construction will support Henderson’s continued growth and represents another investment in the Manchester community the company has called home for nearly seven decades.
