On Monday, September 14, Douglas Dynamics welcomed Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson to its Milwaukee manufacturing facility for a firsthand look at the company’s operations, products and more than 75-year history in the city.
During the visit, Mayor Johnson met with members of our leadership team to learn more about our company, and its Milwaukee operations before getting an-up close look at the equipment manufactured at the facility.
Mayor Johnson had the opportunity to try the controls of one of our WESTERN® snowplows and learn how the plow’s hydraulic system raises, lowers and positions the blade. Team members also shared examples of components manufactured at the Milwaukee facility and explained how they contribute to the finished equipment.
The visit continued with a tour of the manufacturing floor, where Mayor Johnson saw the production process firsthand. Along the way, he spoke with employees, learning more about their roles and hearing about the skill and expertise that go into building the products we’re known for.
The tour also included a display of equipment from across our brands, showcasing the range of solutions Douglas Dynamics provides to the work truck industry. The display offered a look at how products and capabilities across our company come together to serve customers and support the work being done in communities across the country.
